Ashanti Hand-Carved Wooden Comb with Custom Metal Stand from Ghana - 13.5" H X 6.5" W X 1.5" D

Hand-carved comb featuring three female effigies from the Ashanti people of Ghana. Combs are not just functional items and can be used in religious ceremonies or as part of divination practices. In addition, intricate carvings like this also symbolize fertility or wealth.

This piece comes with a custom black metal stand and is in excellent vintage condition considering age and wear. It would be suitable to stand alone or be part of a larger collection with other West African wooden carvings. Display in a study or office on a bookshelf or side table in any décor.

Condition: Very Good 

Wear: Consistent with age. One tooth of the comb was broken by 1 inch. Please refer to pictures.
