African Bambara Iron Oil Lamp with Bird Finial from Mali - 28" H

Forged iron oil lamp with four burners crafted by a Bambara blacksmith. It has three oil cups on a lower horizontal iron strip, and a single cup on the upper portion with a bird finial that has outstretched wings. The iron base has three legs for support, eliminating the need for a display base.

Very interesting work of tribal art from the Bambara peoples of Mali. Use it as a freestanding sculptural design object or a piece to hold votive candles. With its abstract design, and aged and oxidized patina; it would make it a great addition to a variety of spaces from an entry to a great room to a hallway. This piece will complement interior settings from Wabi Sabi, Boho... to Eclectic or Organic-Inspired.
