Vintage Ngombe Knife Blade with Lucite Stand

Vintage African steel knife blade with a lucite stand. This simple, hand-forged ethnographic knife blade from the Ngombe peoples has a slight curve to one side, a highly oxidized surface to the blade, and a portion of the metal, which was at one time, attached to the missing handle. Overall the surface has a deep copper brown color with an amazing patinated texture originating from its initial manufacture to decades of use and handling.

This is a simple vintage object that is presented on a lucite block to give it an artistic presentation. Display it in a residential or commercial space in a variety of interior settings from Wabi Sabi, Mid-Century, Organic Modern to Contemporary.
