19th Century Wooden Dowry Chest from Rajasthan, India - 10.75" L X 6.25" D X 7.12" H

Antique carved wooden dowry chest from India wrapped in a very thin embossed and pierced brass metal decoration. Given the age, the metal exterior and iron hinges are delicate and should be used for display purposes only. The neutral color and patina of this piece would work great in a variety of interior settings from Boho to Wabi Sabi, Organic Inspired or Coastal Modern Design. 

Place of Origin: Rajasthan, India 

Date of Manufacture: 19th Century

Condition: Good

Wear: One hinge is detached on the back but held in place by metal strap. Small piece of metal is loose on right edge of lid. Consistent with age and use. Please refer to pictures.
