Antique Asmat war trumpet (Fu) made out of bamboo. It would be blown on the closed end containing the pierced round hole. The surface of the instrument is covered with an intricate carved pattern. Its purpose was to function as a signaling horn, formerly used in warfare. Displayed on a new custom acrylic base that allows for it to be situated in a 360-degree setting. This piece would complement a variety of interior settings from Oceanic, Mid-Century Modern, California Eclectic to one with a Neutral Aesthetic. Create a collection - we have several sizes of similar pieces that would look great grouped together!
