Handpainted Folk Art Retablo with Musicians from Peru - 7" H X 12.75" W

Peruvian retablos are pieces of folk art important to the indigenous people from Ayacucho in the highlands. They take the form of handpainted boxes portraying religious, historical, or everyday events.  This example depicts a scene of musicians with villagers. 

This piece could be hung, but we would suggest displaying it safely on a shelf in a variety of spaces from a study to a bedroom. Perfect addition to a folk art collection.
