Vintage Philippine Wedding-Style Basket - 9.5" H X 6.5" Diam.

Vintage wedding-style lidded basket. This piece is a tightly-woven round covered basket made of bamboo and rattan using various weaving constructions. The rim of the mouth and basket lid along with the base are traditional wickerwork with the lid and the body being a one-over-two woven pattern. The handle is constructed out of bent bamboo with woven decorative adornments. This piece has a natural buff/brown patina, is solidly constructed, and would be perfect alone or with a small plant. Perfect in a Coastal, Chinoiserie, or Traditional interior setting.
