Intricately woven backpack/shoulder bag made of bamboo and rattan. The unique shape, color variation and sheer craftsmanship shows the basket-maker’s skill and imagination that comes from this mountainous region.
This extremely hard to find one-of-a-kind piece would add interest as a wall hanging in a Coastal Modern, Japandi or Wabi Sabi setting, or be a striking addition as part of a basket or purse collection. Collected in the 1960s on location in the Philippines – and has been part of a designer’s collection.

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s
Condition: Very Good. Missing twine that would serve as latch to close top of piece.
