A detailed Asen Altar from the Fon peoples made from strip iron on a circular platform depicting a human figure surrounded by trees, chameleons, and birds. The rim is pierced for iron bells with two remaining. The platform is supported by six posts and a central iron rod and also has a freestanding custom metal base newly powder coated flat black.
Genuine, ritually used work of art from the Fon peoples that would provide interest in a variety of spaces from an entry to a great room to a hallway. This piece would work in a variety of interior settings from Wabi Sabi to Organic Modern, or Tribal to Folk Art.

Wear: The entire object is very detailed, has heavy oxidation and several areas are misshapen due to age and use. Please refer to pictures.
