Juan José Ramos Medrano (J.J.R.M.) is the grandson of another well known artist of folk art from Mexico, Don Candelario Medrano. His work is known for its playfulness, vibrant colors, and multi-colored creations including roosters, nagual shapeshifters, churches and other architectural reproductions.
This decorative hand-painted folk art piece is of a rooster. The vibrant colors used to decorate it include red, pink, turquoise, bright yellow, blue and light green. Signed J.J.R.M. on the underside.
The sculpture is in near perfect condition, was created in Mexico, and would be a fun addition to a variety of interior settings from Southwestern, Folk Art... to Boho and Scandinavian.
