This is vintage piece of folk art from central Mexico. It was collected in the 1960s and is a simply carved wooden devil/diablo from a single piece of wood (body, excluding staff). 

Place of Origin: Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, Mexico

Date of Manufacture: 1960s 

Condition: Very Good

Wear: Consistent with age – small repair made to staff. Please refer to pictures.
