Intricately woven split bamboo basket used as a fish creel. This one exhibits a smaller design that was typical for personal use. It comes complete with a hasang (loosely woven cone in the mouth of the top opening through which the fish is dropped into the creel).The basket is constructed of split bamboo in various gauges of thickness and its unique shape and size along with its buff patina will add interest to any collection and decor from Coastal Modern, Japandi, Wabi Sabi to California Casual. Purchased in the 1960s in the Philippines and has been part of a designer’s collection.

Condition: Excellent
Wear: Consistent with age and use. Slightly worn corners on the 'shoulder' side edge on one side. Please refer to pictures.
