Finely detailed Pasiking shoulder basket/backpack made of bamboo and rattan. Rattan lacing covers the edges and points of stress with a flexible braided round shoulder strap. Bontoc is known for its specialization in these types of baskets and this one-of-a-kind basket is the product of the weaver's skill and imagination.
This traditionally crafted piece would make for a great wall hanging in a setting from Japandi, Wabi Sabi to California Casual or Coastal Modern. Purchased in the Philippines during the 1960s – and has been part of a designer’s collection since that time.
