Intricately woven bamboo lidded backpack. For this piece, the weaver used two different gauges of split bamboo and rattan braces and bindings along with carefully sized shoulder straps that show their skill. The unique shape, color variation and sheer craftsmanship is typical of this mountainous region.
This extremely hard to find, one-of-a-kind piece will add interest as wall decor from interior settings ranging from Farmhouse to Rustic or Coastal, or be a striking addition as part of a basket or purse collection. Collected in the 1960s in the Philippines, this piece has an amazing rich natural buff and brown patina.
