One-of-a-kind collapsed Cambodian Baluster Jar. This piece is Khmer ware Stoneware with incised decor under brown glaze. It has a unique vase-like shape, is smooth, has decorative incisions along with a natural patina exhibiting bronze, black and brown tones. Even though initially discarded because it was misfired, these ancient ceramic cast-offs, also known as wasters, are unique in their artistic form.
This piece was purchased in Thailand in the early 1970s and could work in a variety of décor styles from Japandi, Modern, Mid-Century... to Asian-Inspired or Wabi Sabi.

Place of Origin: Cambodia
Condition: Very Good
Wear: Chips around the rim on the mouth of the pot. Consistent with age and use. Please refer to pictures.
