Chinese Ming Dynasty Jar-Shaped Martaban Pot with Four Handles - 10" H X 9" Diam.

One-of-a-kind Ming Dynasty Martaban earthenware pot that has a rougher matte textured surface than our other examples. It has a jar-shaped body and four loop handles and exhibits a natural patina of beige, gray and rose/terracotta colored tones that would work with any décor from Rustic, Organic Inspired... to Wabi Sabi or Coastal Modern. Part of a collection verified to be from this time period that were produced in a kiln located in the Fujian province in SE China.
