Vintage Philippine Rustic Bamboo Bound Pottery Jar - 12" H X 13" Diam.

Antique pottery jar from the northern part of the island of Luzon. This sturdy jar was used to transport liquids and has an intricate web of bamboo wickerwork on the exterior that was used to help support it during transport. The patina of this piece is great – from the dark brown-glazed exterior to the bamboo bindings composed of thirty vertical braids, four rings and one handle. This makes for a unique décor item in a variety of residential or commercial settings from Rustic... to Japandi or Wabi Sabi. Consider pairing it with the smaller jar that is also listed.
