Antique Indian/Rajasthani Dual Puppet/Marionette Head - 11" H

Antique early-1900s wooden puppet/marionette "Kathputlis" head from Rajasthan, a state in northwestern India. This example has a head-with-two-faces being that it features hand painted detailing on both the front and the back (male and female) and has been professionally mounted on a new acrylic base.  

Display on a desk, side table, or coffee table to appreciate the detail and patina. This piece would complement a variety of interior environments from Boho, Mid-Century... to  Coastal Modern.
