Dan Peoples Gogon-Style 'Monkey Mask' from Ivory Coast with Metal Stand - 15.5" H X 6" W X 4" D

Elongated Gogon-style 'monkey mask' from the Dan Peoples. It has round eyes, a small nose, a protruding simian like mouth and chin, and an arching line of scarification from the nose to the temple on each side of the face.

The mask has a ridge of drilled holes around the outer edge with a uniform and highly polished surface and is mounted on a black metal base. It would be perfect in a wide range of interior environments from an entry to a great room or study in a Mid-Century, Modern, Boho or Industrial/Loft setting.
