Pair of Vintage Oaxacan Barro Negro Vintage Doves from Mexico - 6" H X 9" L X 2.5" W

Vintage pair of Barro Negro black pottery doves from Mexico. Both have a lustrous black reflective finish and are intricately hand-sculpted on every side. Intricate incised designs are different on each piece and reflected in the pictures. Hard-to-find folk art that would be a great addition to any collection. They would make a great accent in a range of décor styles from Southwestern, Mid-Century Modern or Contemporary.     

Place of Origin: San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico 

Date of Manufacture: 1960s 

Condition: Excellent

Wear: Vintage black clay pottery objects in near perfect condition. It appears that Mexico was inscribed on the underside of one of the doves. Please refer to photos.
