Vintage Jar-Shaped Dark Brown Basket with Handle from the Philippines - 14" H X 11.5" Diam.

Intricately woven split bamboo vintage storage basket/jar made of split rattan and bamboo with one-over-two construction. Due to its age, very unique shape, amazing dark colored patina and condition - this piece will add interest to any décor from Traditional, Japandi to California Casual or Coastal Modern Design. Purchased in the 1960s in the Philippines – and has been part of a designer’s collection.

Place of Origin: Ifugao, Luzon, Philippines 

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s

Condition: Excellent

Wear: Consistent with age and use. Minor losses on the corners of the base and does not have its lid. Basket stands upright and is structurally solid. Please refer to pictures.
