Jar-shaped basket made of split rattan and bamboo with one-over-two construction. The basket has a square base for support which transitions to a round neck. The shoulder and neck are also reinforced with extra coiled rattan and braided strips for support. The piece has been used and exhibits a multi-colored dark brown/black patina with burgundy and dark tan/green undertones. It was collected in the Philippines during the 1960’s and acquired from a decorator’s personal collection. Perfect in a variety of settings from Wabi Sabi... to Japandi or Organic Modern.

Date of Manufacture: 1960s-1970s
Condition: Very Good
Wear: Consistent with age and use. Gloss clearcoat was applied to basket to preserve patina. Please refer to pictures.
