Large Vintage Round Labba Grain Basket with Dark Brown Coloration from the Philippines

Intricately woven large round grain basket (Labba). This piece is constructed of wickerwork where aesthetics are as important as strength. The tapering of the four corners assures that it can hold grain, the foot is made of wood/rattan and the rim is finished with whole rattan.

Its size and rich patina will lend visual interest to a variety of interior spaces whether residential, commercial or hospitality from Coastal, Japandi, to Wabi Sabi or Organic Modern.

Place of Origin: Ilocano Lowlands, N. Luzon, Philippines

Date of Manufacture: 1950s–1960s
