Antique Chinese Fu Dog Porcelain Vase Fragment Stacking Wedding Box/Food Carrier - 11" H X 12" L X 8" W

Handcrafted stacking wedding box/food carrier with a convex lid constructed from a single piece/fragment of antique Chinese porcelain. The porcelain is hand-painted in blue depicting a Fu (Foo) Dog/Lion. 'Fu' means good fortune and Fu Dogs/Lions (Shi) ward off/repel bad spirits.   

It has been mounted on an oblong-shaped decorative multi-tiered hand-painted lacquer wooden box with a lid, a center/middle tray, and another tray comprising the base. The body of the box has a black lacquered background and floral detail on all sides. 

This piece is unique and would be perfect on a sideboard or console table in a great room or dining room in a variety of interiors from Traditional, Chinoiserie, Eclectic... to Maximalist or Grandmillenial.
