Antique early-1900s wooden puppet/marionette (Kathputlis) head from Rajasthan, a state in northwestern India. This example has a head-with-two-faces being that it features hand painted detailing on both the front and the back (male and female) and has been professionally mounted on a new acrylic base.  

Display on a desk or side table to appreciate the detail and patina. It would complement a variety of interior environments from Boho, Wabi Sabi, Organic Modern or Tropical.   

Place of Origin: Rajasthan, India 

Date of Manufacture: early-20th Century 

Condition: Excellent
