Mid-century piece of Mexican folk art from Jose Pinal. This example is a hand-carved wooden sculpture of a campesino/farmer. The curved lines convey movement and depict him hauling a large basket on his back from a recent harvest. The wood is a warm caramel brown color, and it has been mounted on a new clear acrylic base. It would be perfect in a setting with pieces of Folk Art or in other interiors from Coastal, California Eclectic, or Mid-Century Modern.
