Set of Two Intricately Woven Philippine Baskets - 4.5" & 7.5" Diam

Set of two intricately woven vintage Philippine baskets. The weaver used the same materials and weaving technique for their construction. The body of both baskets feature fine detail and an extremely tight wickerwork pattern. The handles of both are covered with the soft skin of the bamboo. The larger larger basket features a fun and playfully decorative smaller basket attached with two woven rings at the base of the handle. 

Due to the age, condition and fine construction, these should be used for decorative purposes only. Display on a shelf or side table so you can enjoy the intricate patterns and beautiful natural buff color.  

Place of Origin: Luzon, Philippines 

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s

Condition: Excellent
