Mid-Century Tutsi Art Gourd with Woven Basketry Top from Rwanda Measuring 7 Inches Diameter by 8.25 Inches Tall

Beautiful artistic African gourd from the Tutsi peoples of Rwanda featuring an intricately woven lid with a smaller gourd as a finial. The gourds are polished to a high shine and both have a warm caramel brown color with the woven lid constructed out of eight bands of natural material that form a pinwheel pattern when viewed from above. Display on a shelf or side table to enjoy the artistry of the piece. It would be perfect in an Organic Modern, Wabi Sabi, Rustic or Modern Farmhouse setting.
