Intricately woven split bamboo basket used as a fish creel. Two loops were used to tie it to the back of the user’s hip for personal use. Due to its age, scarcity, very unique shape, amazing buff colored patina and condition - this basket is perfect for a serious collector.
Purchased in the 1960s in the Philippines and has been part of a designer’s collection since that time. This basket is a work of art and would be perfect in a residential, commercial or hospitality setting from Coastal Modern, California Casual, to Japandi or Wabi Sabi.
