Set of 3 Abelam Coconut Shell Tops/Children's Toys with Custom Stand from Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Set of three Abelam coconut shell 'tops' or children's toys with incised designs from Papua New Guinea (PNG). Each one has a variation of an abstract design on the central portion and a small hole in center. These were used by children as toys who would place them atop a stick and create a spinning motion by moving their hands back and forth. Once plentiful and part of everyday life; these objects are hard to find due to their age, frequent usage, and construction from natural materials.

They would be a perfect addition to a public or private ethnographic art collection or for a toy collector. The set is accompanied by a new clear acrylic stand for presentation and display visibility. Pieces such as this will stand out while complementing any décor taste from Traditional, Mid-Century... to Coastal or Globally-Inspired.
