Striking geometric-patterned, hand-painted and glazed earthenware anthropomorphic figural vessel (male). Made by the Shipibo peoples who live along the Ucayalia River in the Amazon rainforest in Peru and painted with their traditional designs in black, brown and orange with a cream-colored background. Acquired in Peru during the 1960s.
With its neutral tones, it would be at home in a variety of interior settings from Boho, California Casual... to Eclectic or Coastal Modern Design. Use it as a stand-alone piece or combine it with our other offerings to build a tribal pottery collection.
