Large Vintage Tongan Handwoven Basket with Geometric Designs in Neutral Earth Tones

This handwoven basket was crafted by the Tonga people from the Binga district in Northern Zimbabwe. Women weavers use traditional techniques to create amazing intricate patterns. This example is crafted from Illala palm leaves and natural dye derived from tree bark and exhibits mocha brown and buff color tones.
