1960s Square Philippine Field Basket Tray - 14" L X 14" W

Square Philippine field basket tray that is constructed of heavy bamboo with a rattan rim. The center of the basket is constructed of split bamboo and two distinct weaving patterns. Two rows of thicker rattan form the rim – which is accented with an intricate handle on one side. 

Amazing patina – collected in the Philippines during the 1960s and in excellent condition. Similar items with the same age and level of detail cannot be found. This piece has a dark patina and a loose weave that would make for a great wall hanging, casting patterned shadows while adding interest to any décor whether Traditional, Farmhouse... to Japandi or Coastal Modern.

Place of Origin: N Luzon, Philippines

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s

Condition: Excellent
