This one-of-a-kind bamboo basket would be perfect standing alone or in a grouping of others designed for Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement. This post-war Japanese basket is formed of woven steamed strips of bamboo in a short round bulbous form. The dark stained bamboo is woven in plaited and looped designs with a deep, rich dark reddish brown color.
A stunning piece acquired from a personal collection that can be displayed in a wide range of interior environments from a Traditional Living Room, a Moody Study to a Zen-Inspired Primary Bedroom - anywhere so that the intricate craftsmanship can be appreciated.
