Pair of 'Corn Husk Folk Art Dolls'/'Muñecas' from El Salvador

Pair of finely crafted corn husk dolls (muñecas) from El Salvador. These pieces take a traditional art form and add a contemporary twist with the intricate layers of husks formed into flowers - a fusion of Amine meets Día del Los Muertos. Brightly painted with expertly detailed  expression on their faces, they would add interest to any folk art collection. Although these are newer pieces, they are hard-to-find and would make a great accent in a range of décor styles from Southwestern, Boho, Farmhouse/Rustic or Folk Art. Lightweight, but sturdy and self-supporting.
