Hand-Carved Cambodian Gray Sandstone Buddha Head - 7.75" H X 5" W X 4.5" D

Khmer hand-carved gray sandstone head of a Buddha.  This contemporary example has intricate detailing with carved curly hair, eyes half closed in meditation, along with curved lips and long earlobes. The head is mounted on a carved base also from the same gray sandstone.

This piece was created in conjunction with Artisans d' Angkor, a Cambodian organization originally created to revive traditional Khmer artisan skills while helping young rural people find work near their home village. Perfect in a variety of interior settings from Boho... to Asian-Inspired or Zen.
