Product Description

Ancestral wooden figure from the Sepik River Region of New Guinea. Carved male birdhead with cowrie shell eyes and figural body out of ebonized hardwood. Collected on location in the 1960s and displayed on a new custom acrylic stand with square base. 

Place of Origin: Sepik River Region, New Guinea

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s 

Condition: Excellent

Wear: Consistent with age and use. Please refer to pictures.
