Mid-Century Tutsi Art Gourd with Woven Top - 7" Diam. X 8.25" H

Beautiful artistic African gourd from the Tutsi peoples of Rwanda featuring an intricately woven lid with a smaller gourd as a finial. The gourds are polished to a high shine and both have a warm caramel brown color with the woven lid constructed out of eight bands of natural material that form a pinwheel pattern when viewed from above.

Display on a shelf or side table to enjoy the artistry of the piece. It would be perfect in a variety of interior settings from Organic Modern, Wabi Sabi... to Rustic or Modern Farmhouse.
