Pair of Vintage Oaxacan Barro Negro Fish Whistles from Mexico - 3.5" H X 9.5" L X 2.5" W

Vintage pair of 1950s-1960s Barro Negro black pottery fish whistles from Oaxaca, Mexico. Both have a lustrous black reflective finish and are intricately hand-sculpted on every side. Hard-to-find pieces of folk art that would make a great accent in a range of décor styles from Southwestern, Coastal Modern... to California Casual or Mid-Century. 

Place of Origin: San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico 

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s

Condition: Very Good

Wear: Vintage black clay pottery objects. Repairs have been made to one back fin. Piece is structurally sound. Please refer to photos.
