Product Description

Two vintage "tudung baskets" from the Philippines that are very useful to farmers being that they have dual functionality - baskets to transplant rice, seedlings or other items and rain capes providing protection when worn over the head. They are both constructed with a layer of Panoanus leaves and maintain structural integrity due to inner and outer woven layers of sturdy rattan.

A unique and hard-to-find special set that makes for an interesting wall hanging. They would be perfect in a variety of indoor residential, commercial or hospitality settings from Rustic, Wabi Sabi... to California Casual or Coastal Modern. Purchased on location during the early 1960s.
