Beautifully carved vintage wooden portrait mask from the Baule peoples featuring slender oval-shaped eyes, a long slender nose, and high arched eyebrows. It also has a small, round, and open mouth along with three scarifications in the center of the forehead topped with a simple coiffure of linear design on the head. The patina varies from light to dark brown and is presented on a new custom metal and acrylic stand.
It is an exceptional work of vintage carving from the Ivory Coast that would be perfect in a wide range of interior environments from an entry to a great room or a study in a Modern, Mid-Century... to Boho or Coastal Modern Design setting.
